Archived Events — 2007

Describes an extensive five-day tenth-anniversary and Diamond Jubilee celebration at Rajrajeshwardham (24–28 January 2007), including the consecration of idols in the Divyayatan Spiritual Centre, ceremonies attended by numerous religious leaders of different faiths, a Ganga-water ritual at Sudha Sarovar, and a closing day addressed by then Vice President of India Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, who inaugurated the Yoga Gallery, Exhibition Hall and All Faiths Prayer Hall and released Swami Rajarshi Muni's book Classical Hatha Yoga (for which the Vice President had written the foreword). The page also references a spiritual experience Swami Rajarshi Muni described undergoing on 29 January 2007, and states he resumed secluded practice from 19 February 2007.

  • 22–24 Feb — Lakulish World Yogasan Championships held at Surat, sponsored by LIFE Mission, organized by the World and Indian Federations of Yoga and Culture.
  • 20 Apr — Foundation-stone ceremony for a new Saraswati Vidya Mandir complex at Rajrajeshwardham, performed by Swami Rajarshi Muni.
  • 9 Jul — LIFE Mission received the premises of Swami Pritam Muni's ashram at Kanjetha, on the Narmada, as a gift to Swami Rajarshi Muni.
  • 9 Oct — Upendracharya and Acharya Chaitanyadev received sannyas initiation from Swami Rajarshi Muni at Malav, becoming Sant Atmanand and Sant Advaitanand.

Archived Events — 2009

  • 11 Feb — Inauguration of the Vijay-Darshan Yogashram on the Narmada at Asha village, with Sant Advaitanandji as resident sannyasi.
  • 18 Feb — Golden Jubilee of the Kripalu Ashram, Malav.
  • 27 Feb — Sannyas initiation of Swami Pritam Muni and Acharya Yogendradev (renamed Satyanand) at Rajrajeshwardham, Jakhan.
  • 27 Apr — Inauguration of a new Lakulish Yoga Vidyalay building at Jakhan by Swami Rajarshi Muni.
  • 5 Aug — Swami Pritam Muni appointed Vice President of the LIFE Mission Trust, with authority to give initiations and manage Mission affairs.
  • 27 Nov — Foundation stone laid (by Trustee Kishorji Janghid, among others) for a small trustee rest-house at Rajrajeshwardham, funded by Trustee contributions.

Discourses Section

This part of the page presents transcripts of three historical discourses attributed to Swami Rajarshi Muni:

  • A 1993 account of a reported divine communication ("Darshan and Divine Command"), describing him receiving instruction to undertake a worldwide campaign for moral and spiritual renewal.
  • A 2007 account ("Darshan 2007") describing a further reported communication at the newly consecrated Divyayatan temple.
  • A Guru Purnima discourse from 18 July 2008 at Kayavarohan, reflecting on the balance between active service (Pravritti) and contemplative withdrawal (Nivritti), referencing verses from the Bhagavad Gita and other scriptures, and closing with a devotional composition (bhajan) about his choice to resume secluded practice.
